12wt. gloves are designed primarily for sun protection and comfort.  We know that repeated stress from stripping fly line or backing can eventually cause fabric failure. That's why we suggest wrapping your stripping finger with Coban tape (shown above). We don't guarantee that it'll help you land a big permit, but it will provide added protection to your gloves while keeping your vital stripping fingers protected, thus increasing your effectiveness on the water.
